The Ontario City Police Department is currently being led by Chief Jason Cooper who encourages the department and community to work together to continually improve the quality of life in our area. Please do not use OPD's page as a way to submit a police report. Also walk-in reports can be made at the Police Department. General inquires can be made by contacting our Dispatch Center at 541-

473-5125. The Ontario Police Department is located at 444 SW 4th Street in Ontario, Oregon. We provide services to the citizens of Ontario 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Ontario Police Department consists of 27 full-time employees. We also have numerous volunteers that serve our community. The Ontario Police Department has three divisions - Administration, Field Operations, and Support Services. The Administration Division consists of the Police Chief Jason Cooper and Office Manager/ Information Technology Supervisor Sheri Smith. The Field Operations Division includes; Patrol, School Resource Officers, Detectives, and Ordinance Enforcement. Support Services is provided Monday through Friday by two Police Support Specialists. Three patrol sergeants and 16 officers work rotating shifts to provide round the clock service to our community. The officers are highly trained and go above and beyond State required training standards. Many of our officers have specialized certifications in advanced police procedures as well as instruct various police topics. The Ontario Police Department is reviewing media and social media policies to ensure best practices in accordance with law. Until such time, the Department will no longer allow the ability to comment on all Facebook posts generated by authorized department personnel. Sadly, a pedestrian is killed every 74 minutes in traffic crashes. Remember, at some point in the day EVERYONE is a pedestrian:

Ontario Police has been notified regarding some suspicious males going door-to-door stating they are selling a product called β€œGet Loose Juice”. These individuals and this company are not known to OPD, and no applications have been submitted to the City for a Peddlers/Canvassers permit.
If you are contacted by them, please call our dispatch center immediately at 541-473-5125 and provide a description of the individuals, and direction of travel of any vehicle associated with them.
