We had an Air Force C-40 fly into Ontario International Airport for Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) heritage month. The aircraft came from the 1st Airlift Squadron out of Andrew’s AFB, MD and is primarily used for government officials such as the Vice President, First Lady, and members of congress. The events intent was to highlight AAPI aircrew members and share what they do community members. We had Air Force Flight Attendants (1A6X1), Flying Crew Chiefs (2A5X1), Airborne Mission Systems (1A3X1), and Security Forces Ravens (3P0X1) explain what they do to members from The Leaven, Civil Air Patrol, and Delayed Entry Program members from local recruiting offices.

Big thanks to everyone for coming out! And thanks to our local Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard for helping us out! ✈️✈️

Very very surreal moment to see Dominga ship out yesterday. I started working with Dominga when I first got to the Upland office over 2 years ago. She has had numerous hurdles placed in her path all the way up until the last moment and has met all of them with an infectious positive attitude. I am beyond proud to see her make it to this point and have no doubt she’s going to do big things. After basic training Dominga will be going to training for Mental Health Services. Everyone help me say CONGRATULATIONS! 🎉 ✈️

Something I’ve been thinking about are the long term goals people tell me about at their initial appointments. They want to become pilots/doctors/nurses/engineers/etc. But too often they have the impression that there’s a straight path from A to B. They want the perfect job and the perfect assignment and the perfect career progression so they can reach point B as quickly as possible. One thing I’ve realized about life is that it isn’t a clear cut path from point A to B. It’s a lot more like that line on the bottom. We’re going to dip up and down and backwards and forwards and break out of what we thought was attainable. You’re going to see new points available to you that you didn’t even know existed. Your goals are going to change along the way. My biggest piece of advice would be, you don’t need to have the perfect path mapped out, you just need to take the first step. Use that text option in the bio to take the first step. 📲 👣

Some of you may remember shipping out earlier this year. She’s graduating from tech school this week and I’m not surprised at all to see she’s been leading the pack. Seeing the people I put in run in with a winning mindset and taking advantage of every opportunity presented to them gets me absolutely fired up! 🔥🔥🔥 Keep going !
