Good Morning!

We are in the thick of fire season this year. That being said my favorite app to use this time of year is Watch Duty it’s very informative and accurate.

As for our area, Ontario is not on fire at the moment. It is smart to be ready at any given time (no matter the season) meaning have a go bag ready! As there are many fires in Malheur County.

A few tips to help with the smoke, stay inside as much as possible! If needed check the air quality before doing anything. (You can use a weather app on your phone or download the Oregon air app) if you have access or are able get air purifiers going inside your home, use towels to seal the bottom of doors.

We are grateful for our amazing firefighters here in Ontario and all the surrounding areas who daily put their lives on the line to keep your family and belongings safe.

If your clothes ever catch on fire:

🛑 **STOP** – Don't run.
⬇️ **DROP** – Get to the ground.
🔄 **ROLL** – Roll back and forth until the flames are out.
🧥 Cover your face with your hands to help protect it from the flames.

Practicing this simple skill with your family can help everyone know exactly what to do in an emergency.
