It is our goal at the Malheur County Extension Office to make show clothes more easily accessible for all Malheur County 4-H members, because we all know that they are expensive and 4-H members grow out of them very quickly! Please help us in making this a possibility by donating or exchanging show-ring quality clothing. Every Malheur County 4-H member is welcome and encouraged to exchange or receive show-clothes from the drive.

We are taking donations from now until the 24th of July, 2024. Pick-up and exchange days are Monday, July 22nd-Wednesday, July 24th from 4-7 P.M.

This is a project done through OSU Extension’s Internship program. If you have any questions or need more information, call the Malheur County Extension Office at (541)-881-1417 or email Bennett Johnson ([email protected])

4-H members, don't forget to keep your record books up to date. We will not be doing record book interviews this year unless you are applying fora County Medal, Special Award, Senior Scholarship, or the Linda Leninger Award, but your club leader will be checking your record book to make sure it is completed. If you are applying for one of theses awards, you MUST call to schedule a interview by Monday, July 1st to set up a time. Interviews will be Tuesday, July 9th and Wednesday July 10th here at the Extension office. Applications can be found at the Malheur County Extension site under 4-H, Record Books.
4-H Fair entry forms are also due to your club leader when you turn in your record book to be checked. Entry forms are also available on the Malheur County Extension site under 4-H, Malheur County Fair.
Clean-up day is Saturday, July 20th, contact the fairgrounds for more information.

If you are applying for a County medal, Special Awards or the Linda Leininger Award, you still must do an interview, call and schedule those with the Extension office before July 1. Interviews will be held July 9th and 10th from 9:00am-4:pm. Record books should be up to date for your interview, they do not have to be closed out because your year will not be complete. Do your story, update your project records, feed and growth and resume.
Any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out.
