There are over 79,000 dedicated CASA/GAL volunteers in the United States. according to the National CASA/Gal Association.

These volunteers operate across a network of 890 state organizations and local programs in 48 states and the District of Columbia.

The national network serves more than 214,000 children annually, spending millions of hours speaking out for the best interests of the children they serve.

The start of a new school year can be hectic for all types of families, but it is especially challenging for children in the child welfare system. Children and youth who have experienced abuse or neglect, and have been removed from their homes, may be reentering schools after higher levels of stress and uncertainty.

Every Child Deserves A Chance

Alabama CASA’s “call to action” is to engage communities and citizens across the state to be a difference maker. Our plan is to activate ambassadors to make a $10 a month commitment for a year. Proceeds will yield funds for local programs to enable volunteer recruitment, training and child advocacy awareness education that ultimately assists in serving abused, abandoned and neglected children.
