* Until 545 PM CDT.

* At 418 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from Fredonia to Camp Hill to near Equality, moving
southeast at 40 m
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

Auburn, Phenix City, Opelika, Tuskegee, Notasulga, Hurtsboro,

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has placed Lee County in a Marginal Risk (Level 1 out of 5) for potential severe storms today from 3p-6p central time. The main threat with this system is damaging winds with gusts up to 60mph and hail up to quarter size.

This week, the Baldwin County Coroner’s Office had the opportunity to exercise and familiarize our team with a mobile morgue resource provided through S-MORT, ADPH and the State EMA system out of Lee County, Alabama.

While we all hope these types of resources are never needed, preparedness is critical when disaster strikes. Exercises like this ensure your BCCO remains ready to respond professionally, efficiently, and compassionately during mass casualty incidents or emergencies.

We are grateful for the partnership and support from S-MORT, State EMA, and Lee County for allowing us to train with this valuable asset.
