As storms move through the area over the next few hours, we expect significant rainfall and high winds to impact travel conditions.

• Slow down & space out: Wet roads mean less traction. Drop your speed and leave extra room between you and the car ahead.

• Turn around, don't drown: Never try to drive through flooded roadways. You can't always tell how deep the water is or if the road underneath is still there.

• See a downed tree on the road? Pull over safely and call it in to our non-emergency dispatch (334-705-5260).

Stay alert, turn those headlights on, and get to your destination safely!

Opelika Parks & Recreation is looking for a Swim Coach to lead training programs, develop athletes' skills, and help swimmers reach their full potential both in and out of the pool.

This position is responsible for planning and conducting practices, teaching competitive swimming techniques, coordinating competitions and travel, and fostering a positive, safe, and team-oriented environment.
