MISSION STATEMENT:
The Community Market of the Food Bank of East Alabama increases access to healthy food for all people that are in need and serves in ways that cultivate dignity, self-sufficiency, empowerment and provide for a strong community. The Community Market, a program of the Food Bank of East Alabama, provides a friendly grocery-store environment for eligible Lee County families. The Com
munity Market hosts the Senior Lee County Brown Bag Program. Families and individuals seeking assistance are served Wednesday-Friday. Items available include pantry staples, perishable goods, frozen foods, fresh produce, cleaning products and personal care items. Overhead expenses are covered by support from local governments and organizations, and financial contributions from individuals, churches and civic clubs are transformed into food for hungry people.
