DOTD Announces $9.1 Million Highway Improvement Project Supporting St. Landry Parish Infrastructure and Economic Growth

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) has announced a $9.1 million highway improvement project along LA 29 from LA 13 to LA 758 in Evangeline and St. Landry Parishes. The 5.6-mile project includes roadway improvements, pavement rehabilitation, asphalt resurfacing, roadway realignment, drainage improvements, rumble strips, new pavement markings, and other related improvements.

These infrastructure investments will enhance safety, improve roadway reliability, and support improved mobility for residents, businesses, and commercial traffic traveling throughout the region. Strong transportation infrastructure plays a critical role in economic development by improving access for businesses, supporting freight movement, and strengthening connections between communities and markets.

Continued investment in transportation infrastructure helps position St. Landry Parish for future growth by creating a more competitive environment for business expansion, attracting new investment opportunities, and supporting the long-term economic vitality of our communities.

We appreciate DOTD’s commitment to improving infrastructure across St. Landry Parish and the surrounding region.
