Customers of the Conway County Regional Water distribution District and Conway Corp are moving to Phase 3 of the water curtailment plan today, due to the continuing declining water levels at Brewer Lake, which supplies water to both utilities. Here are the details of the involuntary Phase 3:

PHASE 3: FURTHER REDUCTION IN WATER USAGE.

a) Customers must water their lawns only one time per week:

• Even numbered side of the street may water on Saturday only

• Odd numbered side of street may water on Sunday only

b) Customers will be allowed minimum hand watering of potted plants and flower beds using only hand-held containers on other days.

c) Commercial, Industrial and Institutional customers may be required to decrease their process water usage.

d) Vehicles may be washed only at either high pressure, low water usage car washes or, if at home, using a pressure washer or a garden hose with a shut-off nozzle.

e) Residential swimming pools may not be filled.

f) No fire hydrant water may be used, except for fighting fires.

g) Splash pads which do not recycle or treat their water for reuse must cease operation.

There is a busted main waterline on Waterplant Rd. They are working on it. You may experience low water pressure.

Reminder: The 2026 Sales Tax Holiday will begin at 12:01 a.m. Saturday August 1 and end at 11:59 p.m. Sunday August 2.

Purchases made in-store or online (if the shipping destination is in Arkansas) will not be charged state or local sales tax. Examples of tax free items include cell phones, clothes, laptops, diapers, backpacks, cosmetics, and lunch boxes.
