Due to a major water leak at the Page Randall complex, the water will be at super low pressure until sometime Tuesday. If we don’t keep the water pressure turned down, the office will flood! We are very sorry for the inconvenience, but we have to keep from causing more problems. If you have any questions call Chris at 319-759-4805.
Also, the laundry room is closed until sometime Tuesday.

The Henderson County Housing Authority is seeking bids on concrete work at Our Page Randall Complex in Oquawka; you will need to call Chris at 319-759-4805 to set up an appointment to see where the work is needed and to get the details. Bids must include the specs for each project and include a projected start date. Bids must be in by 4:00 pm on June 9th. Bids must include proof of insurance or they will not be considered.

Mail Bids to: HCHA, P.O. Box 316, Oquawka, IL 61469 or bids can be dropped off at our office at 204 Mercer St Oquawka, IL 61469. Mondays – Thursdays 8:00 am to 12:00 pm or 1:00 pm to 4:00 p.m. and Fridays 8:00 am to1:00 pm or 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

HENDERSON COUNTY HOUSING AUTHORITY

SELF MOTIVATED, RELIABLE, PART-TIME MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT

15-25 Hours weekly/seasonal position.
Applicants must have a valid Driver’s License and Insurance, be willing to use personal vehicle occasionally, and be willing to be on call when needed. You must be able to pass a background check. Applicants must be willing to work in the heat and the cold, be able to lift at least 50 pounds and preferably have some basic construction, electrical and plumbing, knowledge and experience. Applicants, should also have experience with lawn care equipment.

Due to weather conditions, the Housing Authority office will be closed today, Monday, March 16. Tenants if you have an emergency, call the Maintenance emergency phone at 319-759-4805.

The Sheriff's Office has received reports of an unknown telephone number calling citizens and telling them they have missed jury duty and police are going to arrest them. The scammer also states they have a $15,000 bond that must be paid. This is a scam, do not respond or give any of your personal information out. Simply hang up the phone and block the telephone number if one appears.

The Sheriff's Office will never call you for missed jury duty or have you post bond over the telephone.

We remind everyone to never give out your personal information or banking information. If you feel you are being scammed, always hang up and notify the Sheriff's Office.
