The Oradell Fire Department is a 100% volunteer organization proudly serving over 8,000 residents for more than 125 years.

Welcome to the official Facebook of the Oradell Volunteer Fire Department (OFD). Located in Oradell, New Jersey, the OFD has been providing fire and rescue services since 1897 to the borough. We are made up of nearly 60 dedicated professional volunteers, responding to approximately 300-400 calls a year including alarms, fires, accidents, rescue incidents, and public service requests, day or night.

🌸🚒 Taking Care of What Matters 🚒🌸

Each spring, we take time to ensure our Fire Department memorial site is maintained and cared for as a reflection of the respect we have for those it honors.

Work is currently underway to prepare the site for the season. Fresh flowers have been planted and our water feature has been restored, thanks to the generosity of our sponsors who make this possible year after year.

The memorial serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made by those who served this community. We are grateful to everyone, including our members, who helps us keep it in the condition it deserves.

🚨🔥 Mutual Aid Response – Belleville, NJ 🔥🚨

Late Sunday, Engine 24 responded to Belleville as part of a regional task force to assist at a large commercial fire at a mattress warehouse complex. The task force, made up of companies from River Edge, New Milford, Oradell, Emerson, and Westwood, initially staged at Garfield City Hall.

Oradell was moved up to the scene to assist with water supply and other on-scene operations. Crews operated for approximately five hours before returning to quarters.

🚨🔥 Exterior Roof Fire – Kinderkamack Road 🔥🚨

Earlier today, Oradell Firefighters responded to 705 Kinderkamack Road (home just south of "The Mansion") for a reported structure fire.

A "working fire" was declared by Chief 201, brining mutual aid fire companies to the scene and cover the firehouse.

The building, an unoccupied structure, had smoke coming from the roof. Crews worked to contain the fire, which was held to the exterior and roof of the building.
