Clay County Young Democrats Setting the precedent for grass-root Democratic movements to come. We're motivated by a passion to make positive change right here in Clay County!

As a [future]* chapter of the Florida Young Democrats, Clay County Young Democrats seeks to advance the principles of the Florida Democratic Party in Clay County and the greater Northeast Florida region through a variety of volunteer activities. This includes (but is not limited to) working on campaigns, phone-banking, attending town hall meetings, and fundraising. All interested persons that meet

the age criteria are encouraged to contact us with any further inquiries. We strive to reply to every e-mail, message, and/or phone call within 24 hours. No message goes unheard (or unread). We are still in the chartering phase with the Florida Young Democrats, which means one of our primary business concerns for the first meeting is nominating and voting on all of our elected officer positions. If you would like to be considered for nomination, please send an e-mail to the listed address with the following information: Name, address, telephone number, birthdate, and voter registration number. **Note that you must be a resident of Clay County to be considered eligible for nomination.**

This is an absolute shame. 41 Democratic lawmakers in the Florida House of Representatives voted to bring the Florida Legislature into a special session to address the shortfalls in education funding.

You want to know how many Republicans voted to do the same? NONE!

Republicans proving (once again*) that they don't care about us, our children, our teachers, or public education in general. They are just there to serve part-time and collect a paycheck.
