Orange Public Library has a reading program for our teens too!
The Orange Public Library is hosting a series of Summer Reading Programs for readers of all ages! 📖🌞
This year’s theme, “Unearth a Story,” invites readers to dig into a good book, uncover hidden histories, and explore the past while celebrating the joy of discovery that reading brings. The theme also highlights how every person and every community has stories waiting to be found and shared through books, programs, and local knowledge.
📖 Programs:
📘 Preschool Read-to-Me: Wednesdays from 10:45 am – 11:15 am
📗 Elementary School (1st - 5th graders): Wednesdays from 10:30 am – 11:30 am
📕 Young Adult - Middle School (6th - 8th graders): Tuesdays from 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm
📙 Young Adult - High School (9th - 12th graders): Thursdays from 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm
📚 Adults: Summer Reading Coupon Book and activities on dates throughout the summer
Readers can sign up at the library to participate in any of the Summer Reading Programs and attend weekly events throughout the summer. Participants may register ahead of time or sign up on the day of each event. Attendance is free, flexible, and no book reports are required — participants can read whatever they would like at their own pace.
Registration begins Tuesday, May 26th, with the first programs starting on Tuesday, June 2nd. Upon registration, participants will receive a book bag and reading log to track the time they spend reading or being read to. Reading logs can be turned in to earn Library Bucks for entries into prize drawings!
