Our 5th graders explored the work of American artist Georgia O’Keeffe and created their own beautiful art inspired by her paintings!

1st grade loves to practice their math skills. In Ms. Hall's class students have been using Math Stackers to make number bonds and compare numbers. They also love to use number cards to play greater than, less than. Keep practicing those number skills.

Ms. B's class had a great time on our field trip to Routon Farm! We furthered our learning about farms, the water cycle, making butter, seeds, and animal care. The rain didn't stop us from having the best day!

Mrs. Perry’s class spent math time comparing fractions! Each pair of partners picked a unit fraction to compare with their classmates’ fractions. Then they decided whether their fraction was greater than, less than, or equal to their friends’. What a fabulous fractional day!

Mrs. Perry’s class also got to sign the bulletin board. Cue the Confetti, We’re 3rd Grade Ready!

Ms. Fix’s Kindergarten class enjoyed wrapping up their Colonial Times Unit by making butter and enjoying it on some homemade bread! 🍞

Our students in Ms. Morris's class are sparking their creativity—literally! They took their science lesson to the next level by building model houses to master the art of electric circuits.

It was an incredible day of hands-on learning as students designed their own structures and figured out exactly how to bring them to life with working lights. The best part of the activity was watching our young engineers explain their circuit designs and problem-solving strategies to their classmates. There is nothing quite like the "aha!" moment when a house finally lights up for the first time, and we are so proud of the collaboration and curiosity on display. Future electrical engineers are definitely in the making!

This week is Staff Appreciation Week 2026 at Orange Elementary, and we are throwing it back to the 90s to celebrate our "so fly" staff. We have a full week of nostalgia, treats, and fun planned to show our teachers just how much we appreciate everything they do.

They are the first smiling faces our students see in the morning and the last ones to wave goodbye in the afternoon. Being a bus driver is about so much more than driving; it’s about safety, patience, and starting every child's day on the right foot.

Today, we say THANK YOU to the incredible team of drivers who keep OES moving. We appreciate the miles you drive and the care you show!
