Approximately one year ago, the General Manager of the MUD, the Orange County Precinct 2 Commissioner, and the Fire Chief of OCESD #4 came together to begin a comprehensive fire hydrant replacement, maintenance, installation, and testing project.

We are proud to announce that this project is ongoing and has now entered its second phase. OCESD #4 is honored to work alongside these dedicated partners to enhance fire protection and improve public safety throughout our community.

As part of this next phase, six new fire hydrants will be installed in strategic locations identified through coordination between OCESD #4, the MUD, and Orange County Precinct 2. OCESD #4 is assisting with the placement of these hydrants to ensure the best possible coverage for emergency response operations.

Annual fire hydrant testing will resume this summer to verify hydrant performance and reliability.

With the continued support and partnership of the MUD and Orange County Precinct 2, we will continue working together to make our community safer for everyone.

OCESD #4 greatly appreciates the teamwork, cooperation, and commitment of these outstanding partners.

Working together for a safer community. 🚒💧

Members of Orange County ESD #4 recently completed hands-on training focused on Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) operations along with firefighter carries and drags. The training provided valuable experience in firefighter rescue techniques, teamwork, and emergency response skills that are critical during fireground operations. Crews practiced multiple rescue scenarios designed to improve efficiency, communication, and firefighter safety under stressful conditions.

This was a great learning experience for all personnel and another step forward in maintaining readiness and protecting both firefighters and the community we serve.
