My letter today to the SCC this evening:
Friends,
This week started off with a bang, seeing my amazing wife sworn in as a Delegate for Virginia District 62. She is a Patriot, fighter and God-fearing woman who is unwilling to tolerate the status quo. Sadly, it didn’t take long for Virginia House Democrats ram through their 4 constitutional amendments. While this action was infuriating, it was also highly predictable, as they ran on this message throughout the 2025 campaign. A Delegate from Fairfax even dared to state that their hands "were forced" in the redistricting committee due to the actions of another state…zero accountability.
It is a disgrace that a legislative action to amend the Virginia Constitution would be introduced, solely based on a perceived political offense caused by the actions of another state. This is petty politics and retaliation through disenfranchisement at its finest and I am proud that my beautiful wife will fight tirelessly against this insanity in the Virginia House. Virginia Democrats are demonstrating an elitist mindset, despite their pontification at the plight of the common citizen.
Virginians deserve better, but this is exactly what they voted for.
Yesterday morning a candidate forum was held in Richmond moderated by David Botkins and John Reid and hosted by the John Fredericks radio show. I am thankful for all participants, and hope that members of the State Central Committee listened and heard the many perspectives on where we go as a party, which brings me to my next point.
John Reid asked a prudent question regarding my tenure at FEMA within the Trump Administration. My answer was simple, that I faithfully served the administration, saving the Taxpayer nearly $3 Billion in overhead, enhanced FEMA operational readiness, and began realigning the Agency with the President’s agenda. I remain a loyal supporter of President Trump and the America First Agenda.
I entered this race for Chairman of the RPV with full awareness that success for all Virginians should transcend ego, and that new leadership was sorely needed. After meeting all candidates for Chair, and evaluating their perspectives, as well as feedback from members of the SCC, I do not believe that I have the required votes for victory due to the unique method of appointment by the SCC. My goal was to conduct a systematic overhaul of the RPV, to turn it into an operational machine, of which I believe I am well suited. I will assist whoever the next RPV Chair is; however, at this stage, I am confident that Nicholas Proffitt will be appointed as Chairman of the RPV by the SCC. I pray that he will be a successful Chairman and offer him my support to fulfill the remainder of Chairman Peake’s term per the Virginia Party Plan. There will continue to be matters he and I do not agree on; however, I do believe him to be a young man of character, faith, and ability.
Virginia is at a crossroads, and our party is deeply fractured and broken, therefore unity is an imperative if we hope to win, which is why I am withdrawing my candidacy for consideration. The Virginia Democrat machine is out in full force and has a base of operations and funding line of more than 10 times that of the RPV. We need an operationally focused party leader, an overhaul of the SCC, a compelling executive leadership team, and a fully engaged volunteer base to win elections and demonstrate that “We stand for all Virginians”.
Without that, Virginia will be lost for decades.
Thank you and God Bless,
ESSE QUAM VIDERI
