Enjoy a Full Breakfast for Just $12 – All for a Great Cause!

Start your morning with purpose at the Annual Justice Is Served! fundraiser, benefiting CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) and their mission to support children in foster care.

Local dignitaries will trade gavels for aprons as celebrity wait-staff, serving up smiles and hearty plates at Elijah’s Cafe in Jasper, TX.

💙 September is recognized as Kinship Care Awareness Month, where caregivers are shown appreciation for their role in supporting children. 💙

Kinship care offers youth in the child welfare system the chance to live with people they already know and trust (such as relatives or close family friends). This type of placement helps children maintain important connections to their family, culture and community, giving added stability and comfort in their lives.

Please join us in congratulating Sheila Kasper McMahan on being named CASA of the Sabine Neches Region's September Advocate of the Month!💙

Since being sworn in as a CASA Advocate on July 31, 2024, Sheila has made a tremendous impact on the children she serves. A proud resident of Hardin County, she has already advocated on three cases, bringing dedication, determination, and a strong voice to every child entrusted to her care.

Sheila is a true go-getter whose compassionate heart, fierce advocacy, and resilient spirit embody the mission of CASA. She consistently goes above and beyond to ensure the children she serves are heard, supported, and given every opportunity to thrive. Her commitment to making a difference is evident in all that she does.

Today we're celebrating Sharon Cooper's 2nd CASA Anniversary with CASA of the Sabine Neches Region!

Since being sworn in as a CASA Advocate on September 3, 2024, Sharon has served on three cases with dedication, compassion, and a heart for children. She is an active community supporter and a valued member of our CASA family.

💟Mahjong takes strategy, patience, and paying attention to the details — and so does being a CASA advocate.💙

During a visit with The Heirloom Cup Tassie and Sheila paused at their mahjong table. Even without playing, the message was clear: the same qualities that make someone great at mahjong — focus, commitment, and seeing the bigger picture — are the qualities that help a CASA advocate change a child’s story. 🦋

And with our final training class of 2026 beginning with Orientation on September 23rd, we need more committed advocates.

If you’re someone who notices the small things and cares deeply about the big things, CASA might be your perfect match. You may also want to bring a companion along with you. 🦋💙
