✨ October's Employee Spotlight: Kayla Wood! ✨

👩‍💻 Kayla is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, focusing on Crime Scene Investigation, and plans to continue her education to earn a Master’s in Forensics. She's also a proud member of the National Society of Leadership and Success honor society, talk about ambition! 💪📚

At home, she’s a supermom to her 2-year-old daughter, who is her biggest inspiration and motivation every single day. ✨💕

Fun fact: Kayla has a fraternal twin sister, and while they didn’t plan it, her nephew was born just 4 months after her daughter, now they’re best friends, and it's been such a special journey for both sisters to share together. 👯‍♀️👶

When she’s not studying or working, she enjoys reading, exploring new things, playing video games, and spending time with her daughter. Oh, and don’t forget her love for a good drive! 🚗🎮📖

It was Kayla's dream job to become a dispatcher, and we’re lucky to have her on the team here in Orange County.

Thank you, Kayla, for your passion, dedication, and positivity! They are felt every day, and we’re so grateful to have her as part of our work family and our community! 🧡🎧

👵👴 Happy Grandparents Day! 💛📞

Today, we honor the grandparents who have helped shape who we are — through love, guidance, and timeless wisdom.

Many of our team members shared pieces of advice from their grandparents that continue to guide them in both life and work. Here are just a few:

⭐ "Cassandra, always mark your work with excellence." - "As a kid, I did not understand why she would want me to be perfect - but that was never what she was requesting of me. She was telling me to always put my best work forward and to always do the best I could. " - Supervisor Cassandra's Grammy

🪀 "Do something fun today, I am!" – "Make it fun. Make it memorable. Make it happy. He always made things fun, it was in his power to do so - so he did it!" - Supervisor Cassandra's Papo

❤️ “Sweets fix anything!" - "She always had a sugary treat. Good day, rough day, sad day, mad day...eat something sweet! It works every time!" - Supervisor Nicki's Grandma

To all the grandparents out there: thank you for your wisdom, your strength, and your stories. And to those we carry in our hearts — we honor your memory today. 💬💕
