🎮 CONNECT 4 + WORLD HISTORY = LEARNING IN ACTION! 📚
Ms. R. Wright’s World History students put a fun twist on unit review by combining trivia cards with the classic Connect 4 game! Students tested their knowledge of key unit vocabulary words while competing to connect four. 🧠🔵🟡
Who says reviewing vocabulary has to be boring? At HSHP, we’re making learning interactive, engaging, and competitive! 💙💛

🎶➕🏀 When Music Meets Math…and Basketball! 🏀➕🎶

Mr. Middleton’s Music class took learning beyond the sheet music with a fun, competitive activity that combined music, math, and basketball!

It was Sopranos & Altos vs. Tenors & Basses as students put their knowledge of beats, notes, rhythm, and counting to the test—then brought basketball skills into the mix! 🏀🎼 Students had to think, calculate, collaborate, and compete while demonstrating what they’ve learned.

Who says math and music don’t go together? At HSHP, we love seeing teachers find creative ways to make learning interactive, engaging, and FUN! 💙💛

🏀 Student-Athletes Inspiring Future Leaders! 💙💛
HSHP was excited to welcome SC State Men’s Basketball and coaching staff to campus! 🐶🏀
Members of the team and coaches spent time speaking with our AVID I students about the importance of academics, discipline, and balancing the responsibilities of being a student-athlete. Students also had the opportunity to ask questions on a variety of topics and hear firsthand about the commitment, choices, and work ethic required to succeed both in the classroom and on the court.
A huge THANK YOU to SC State Men’s Basketball for taking time to pour into our students and provide them with a meaningful experience beyond the classroom! 💙💛❤️💙
