Last night, several of our firefighters and junior firefighters participated in a district-wide Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) training alongside Woodlawn, Newton Abbott, and Seneca Hose. 🚒

This training provided a great opportunity to brush up on our RIT skills, strengthen teamwork between companies, and continue learning how to become more efficient and effective on the fireground.

This morning we held a joint drill with our neighbors at Boston Fire at the Eternal Flame trail. Always training to understand how our equipment handles in extreme conditions to make sure we are prepared. With the deep snow, steel terrain and icey trails the UTVs weren’t phased.

This afternoon firefighters from Windom and Hillcrest responded to two separate incidents where a vehicle left the road into a ditch and retention pond. Our UTV with tracks were used up the steep grades to safely extricate the patients for evaluations. No injuries were reported from either incident.
