Do fires happen on cold days, or in rainy or snowy weather?
🔥❄️💧🌧🌨🌞🌡
Absolutely! Then so does practice!
Being able to practice/train in any weather condition is very important for these heros!
Yesterday, Tri-Clover Volunteer Fire Co. Held practice at the Whitehall township burn building training facility. We had a great time working with some members of other stations such as Woodlawn Fire Department, Neffs Volunteer Fire Company, Laury's Station Volunteer Fire Company and even Seisholtzville Fire Company 39 came out to train with us!
Yesterday was very educational for everyone with so much learned! After each training, there is a regroup to discuss and recap the day. Sometimes things go as planned, but the rest of the times--its a learning experience that differs every time forveach person involved!
From the Juniors and newer firefighters learning to properly/safely place exterior ladders, to the interior guys on the search and rescue role going inside facing the fire head on, and even the team that sets the fires for practice---you ALL play an important role in the team!
Thank you to those stations who participated in the training. Theres no "I" in TEAM! Group trainings are a must as most structural fires go to 2nd or 3rd alarm, or even further! Knowing how to be in command and follow commands is a must, and comes with practice.
