Last week of Summer Nature Spy Days at the ELC!
Please join to learn more about Creatures of the Night, including bats, owls, racoons and more.
We are excited to offer an evening program on Thursday, August 27th from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the CCC Yellow Parking Lot. Activities will include crafts, games, and guided walks around campus.
Plan to stick around for the annual Star Party with the Rose City Astronomers from 8:30 to 11:00 p.m. too!

We invite you to join ELC staff at 7:00 p.m. in the Yellow Parking Lot until the Star Party starts to learn about Creatures of the Night!

Come check out galaxies, stars, the moon and more at the annual Star Party hosted by the Environmental Learning Center and Rose City Astronomers on Aug. 27 from 8:30 to 11 p.m.

Take a guided night hike beginning at 7 p.m., followed by viewing the full moon and partial lunar eclipse from telescopes at the Yellow parking lot on CCC's Oregon City campus.

Nature Spy Discovery Day Theme: Trees
Activities for all ages, including:
~ Becoming a tree superhero
~ Making leaf rubbings
~Talking on a tree phone
~ Naturalist-led walk at 11 a.m.
There is no cost or registration needed but your generous donation helps keep these programs running.

Stewardship Saturday
All ages and abilities are welcome! Tools and training will be provided. This week, we will be tackling invasive plants including English Ivy and tansy ragwart along with putting the finishing touches on the bridges around our site. Inside projects will be available as well.

Our bridges have officially have been cleaned, stained, repaired and upgraded with an anti-slip resistance surface. They’re ready for you to use!
Special thanks to All Clean Pressure Washing, LLC and The Wall for loaning the pressure washers to ELC staff and the STREAMN team volunteers to get the work done.
