Evergreen School

Evergreen School Evergreen School was built in about 1890 to serve the communty of Redland, outside Oregon City, Oreg The schoolhouse has seen some tough years.

It was the original community schoolhouse from 1890 until 1949, when it was moved about 200 yards to its present location to make way for the new Redland School. It became Evergreen Church; a large annex was built; the church moved away. It housed a greeting card business for a while, then was abandoned for 15 years. When Pat and Elaine arrived in 2011 it was barely visible behind a screen of blac

kberries and brush. But we're looking forward to the future. We're two years into the site cleanup and almost ready to begin the restoration process. We want to make the building a community gathering place while preserving its historic character. We have lots of ideas -- and we need yours! This site is dedicated to the project. We'll keep it updated with progress and plans. And we'd love to hear from YOU!

It's been a long time since we have posted on this site. That is because life is progressing along and we have not done any more on this building. The area where the newer building was when we purchased the property is now a nice garden area for corn, peas, beans and flowers.
We still have long-term plans to do some restoration on this building but for now are just using it as it is and maintaining it. Keep checking and we will post when we move forward!

Sale dates are set--April 11-12-13. Three families, lots of antiques, toys and games and kid stuff, sporting goods...and Pat's vintage 1972 Honda motorcycle! Proceeds will go towards the schoolhouse restoration fund. We'll post more items and photos soon.

We will be having a sale! The schoolhouse is full of lots of stuff that must be moved to make way for renovations. Two other households will participate, plus Ladybird's Vintage. Details coming soon.
