The following info is from ODOT in regards to upcoming impacts from their I-205 work.

Starting the night of June 13 and continuing several more times over the summer, there will be overnight directional closures of the I-205 Abernethy Bridge as crews pour concrete on the newly-widened bridge deck. These overnight closures will either be northbound or southbound but not both directions at the same time. This work depends on dry weather, and schedules may change or shift on short notice.
Details of the first nighttime directional closure:
• Overnight directional closure of I-205 northbound across the Abernethy Bridge (between OR 99E and OR 43) Saturday, June 13 from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.
• The following on-ramp will also close:
o OR 43 on-ramp to I-205 northbound.
Local and Regional Detours
• Northbound traffic will bypass I-205 in this section by using detours on I-5 and I-84.
• Local traffic can use the Arch Bridge to cross the river.
• Southbound I-205 lanes will remain open.
As this time, two more nighttime closures of I-205 northbound across the bridge are planned for June 20 and June 27, but subject to change. We will send out more emails when dates are confirmed.

ICYMI: Tribal, local, state and even federal officials were in Oregon City yesterday for a groundbreaking ceremony many years in the making. The first steps of the redevelopment at tumwata village were made yesterday, a momentous occasion for all involved.
"Today, we lay the foundation of tumwata village and start the process of bringing our people back to the falls, as well as everyone else." - Chairwoman of the The Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde Cheryle Kennedy.
"For too long this natural wonder has been cut off. Now, tribal members, Oregonians and the visitors we welcome will have the chance to experience the falls, understand the experience, and witness the tribe's work in healing this place." - Governor Tina Kotek.
"We have come a long way since the vison for this land was conceived. This monumental event has made tremendous strides since the creation of the Legacy project. The vision of the tumwatta village project is an expanded concept to bring restoration and healing to this place. We hold this vision in our hands with full awareness of what we are beginning here, and the voices of the past we represent today." Oregon City Mayor Denyse McGriff.
The first phase of work will focus on the infrastructure needed to bring the new vision to life, and connect tumwata village to the rest of downtown Oregon City.

Thanks to everyone who came out for the first Oregon City Ivy League event of the year. Once again the team pulled together and just about filled the trailer with invasive English ivy and holly from Singer Creek Park. We'll be back out next month on June 27.

Public Works is about more than infrastructure, it is about community. In addition to their daily work, our Public Works team helps support local events like the Teddy Bear Parade, Touch-A-Truck, and Downtown Holiday Tree Lighting, making sure routes are clean and safe and the event runs smoothly for families to enjoy. It is one more way our team stays connected to the people we serve.

As National Public Works Week comes to a close join us in thanking our Public Works team for everything they do, seen and unseen. Thank you Public Works!
