The first Earth Day was held on April 22, 1970, when an estimated 20 million Americans participated in nationwide events to raise awareness about environmental issues.

April is National Poetry Month, and we have been featuring select poetry books on one of our end cap displays.
Plays, I feel, is a close cousin to poetry because it conveys much with fewer words and must move with a certain cadence to keep the audience engaged. Reading a play can be pleasurable because it moves along swiftly and you assemble the setting in your imagination. Our Play section has been slowly growing and has some good selections at very reasonable prices!

We just got a lot of audiobooks including all of these Playaway books.
Playaway books are small devices which are easy to carry and listen to. They even come with their own battery. You will need corded headphones. (I have at least one pair in a drawer from a flight I took).
And the best part is they are only $1.00!
They are pretty popular, so stop by and get a couple of good ones!
