The Oregon City Police Department is pleased to introduce Officer Christopher Brosseau as the new School Resource Officer for the Oregon City School District!

Officer Brosseau’s mission will be to help maintain a safe learning environment and serve as a positive mentor to build strong, trusting relationships with students, staff, and families.

Please join us in welcoming Officer Brosseau to his new assignment. We’re grateful for his commitment to supporting and protecting our students each day. If you see him around campus, be sure to say hello!

As we head into the new school year, we also want to remind everyone to stay alert in school zones. Please slow down, watch for students crossing the street, and follow posted speed limits. Thanks for doing your part in helping to keep our students safe.

Oregon City Police Department Requests Public Assistance in Locating Missing Person:

The Oregon City Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance with locating 52‑year‑old Kristine Reneau. Ms. Reneau was last known to be in the Oregon City area on August 25, 2026, following her release from the Clackamas County Jail. She is believed to be traveling on foot and currently does not have access to a vehicle.

Ms. Reneau is described as a white female, 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing approximately 120 pounds, with shoulder‑length brown hair and brown eyes. She has several identifiable tattoos, including five stars on the right side of her neck, an infinity sign with the word “son” on her left wrist, as well as a depiction of a moon and sun on one of her arms.

Anyone who sees Ms. Reneau or has information regarding her whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately and reference Oregon City Police Department case number 26‑017080.

Please join us in congratulating Ofc. Nicholas Cristofaro, Ofc. A***n Aguilar, and DPSST Basic Police Class #464 on their graduation from the police academy today.

We look forward to them returning to OCPD to start their field training.

Last night was the rescheduled National Night Out at the End of the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center. Thank you all for coming out and meeting our team! This is an annual event each summer and we look forward to seeing you next year!

Oregon City Police Department Seeks Public’s Assistance in Identifying Burglary Suspect:

The Oregon City Police Department is requesting the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in multiple burglaries at Corner 14 (Bite N Roll, Krazy Kokunut, Oregon City Burger Co.), located at 508 14th Street. On August 23rd, 2026, at approximately 2:00 a.m., a suspect, believed to be a white male adult with long blonde hair, possibly a beard, wearing a medical style face mask, forcibly entered several food carts at the Corner 14 location. The suspect unlawfully entered the food carts via force, stole various items, and left the location on a bicycle.

The Oregon City Police Department is actively investigating this incident and asks anyone with information about the suspect or the burglary to contact the OCPD Tip Line at 503-905-0505. Please reference case number 26-016633.

The City Commission unanimously approved changes to the City’s ordinance regarding the use of e-bike and e-motorcycles Wednesday night. The changes are in response to increasing complaints about the illegal use of the conveyances as well as accidents between motor vehicles and e-bike users operating them unsafely.
The ordinance reinforces state regulations regarding their use, including that no e-bike is allowed to be operated by a minor under the age of 14. Anyone operating an e-bike or e-scooter under the age of 16 is required to wear a protective helmet.
The new ordinance also makes it illegal for any parent or guardian to knowingly allow or cause a minor under their care to unlawfully operate any e-bike, e-moto or e-scooter.
The Police Department has seen a dramatic increase in the number of calls regarding the use of e-bikes, including numerous instances of people riding them in an unsafe manner in proximity to people inside Oregon City parks.

Today, Oregon City Police officers arrested an adult female in connection with thefts at Clackamette Park.

During the investigation, officers recovered stolen property from the suspect. She was also found in possession of a bag containing additional personal belongings that officers believe may belong to other park visitors.

If you were at Clackamette Park today and discovered you're missing personal property, please contact the Oregon City Police Department's non-emergency line at 503-655-8211.

Be prepared to describe the missing items so officers can help determine if your property has been recovered.
