✨📚Our 1st graders at Prairie View Elementary recently took a trip to the Oregon Public Library. They had the opportunity to put the culminating project from their Contributing to the Community: Caring for Birds unit into action!
Throughout the 2nd half of the year, students studied and researched birds, learning about their needs and how people can help protect them. One important fact they discovered is that many birds are injured when they fly into windows. To help address this issue, students created "Feathered Friend Savers" and installed them on the library's large windows.
The students were excited to see their hard work make a real difference and to contribute to the community in such a meaningful way. 🙌We are so proud of their learning, creativity, and commitment to caring for our feathered friends!🐤
