Invasive Species of the Month!

Have you ever been on a trail and heard grasses moving?

It could be many things! Maybe a bird, snake, deer... well today is was a Mama Common Snapping Turtle looking for the best place to lay her eggs.

Snapping turtle eggs are dependent on temperature to determine the s*x of the offspring. Warmer locations will largely lead to females, cooler to males, and in-between can have a mix. Nature is fascinating!
