We're offering hour-long boat rides on Saturday and Sunday during the 21st Annual Toledo Lighthouse Festival. 🛥️

You'll ride with a licensed charter boat captain on a 30' vessel for an unforgettable experience.

WBGU Lighthouse Hunt
Here's your chance to take part in an interactive game featuring the stars of our docuseries– the lighthouses! As part of the WBGU Lighthouse Hunt using the Goosechase app, you can participate in a series of challenges and earn a reward. Solve each riddle, then snap a photo of the correct item or place. Get 3,000 points and receive a WBGU-PBS "Keep the Light On" sticker. Test your lighthouse knowledge and venture out to see these amazing beacons. The challenge is open until September 7, 2026.

It's the Third Annual Toledo Harbor Lighthouse Luncheon Cruise.

Please join us Friday July 11th, at noon aboard the Glass City Pearl.

A homemade box lunch featuring Penn Station subs, Great Lakes Chips and a homemade cookie by me (Kimberly) will be served after boarding & bottled water will be provided or feel free to BYOB (alcohol is allowed).

Enjoy Live Music from Great Lakes Folk Singer Russ Franzen & Lighthouse storys from the Keeper of the Great Lakes Carl Jahn.
As you Cruise out and around this wonderful Lighthouse you will also see many spectaclar views of Toledo along the way.
Receive a commemorative wooden nickel keepsake to remember your experience.

When: Friday July 11 at 12 pm - please be there 15 minutes early - boat leaves dock on time - a 2.5 hour cruise. If the weather is bad the trip will be rescheduled for another date within thirty days. No refunds after July 3, 2025

About the boat - 64' Iong, 20' with a top speed of 17 knots, holding up to 100 passengers.

Where to board: The Glass City Pearl will be docked at the Docks on Main Street where Real Seafood and other restaurants are located. Park at the end where the volley ball courts are located The boat is docked at the end of 'Restaurant Row’ near the volleyball courts, Parking is free and easy!

These scrapbook pages dated July 2014, were made from the photos taken the first year that I was a tour guide for the Toledo Harbor Lighthouse Preservation Society.

The lighthouse marks the entrance to the Toledo Harbor shipping channel.

We were lucky enough to watch a barge pass by from the catwalk that day. Just thrilling.

Ironically restoration started on my birthday in August of 2020 🙃
