Memorial Day in Polo

Join Patrick Fegan American Legion Post 83 and VFW Post 8455 this Memorial Day as we honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.

We invite the community and all veterans to join us for Memorial Day events and ceremonies as we come together in remembrance and gratitude.

Parade begins at 930. If you are a Veteran and would like to participate, line up at Lamplight by 9.

The Freedom Trucks mobile museum is making a stop in Rockford, to celebrate America's 250th anniversary. The 18-wheeler exhibits will be parked at Veterans Memorial Hall from May 31 to June 2. The exhibit is free, open to the public, and highly interactive.

You can explore: Cinematic & Interactive Displays: Learn about the American Revolution and founding documents through high-quality multimedia.

"Talking Portraits": Experience a simulation where George Washington directly addresses visitors.
Digital Kiosk: Add your digital signature to the Declaration of Independence.
Wall of American Heroes: A sprawling gallery celebrating 50 influential figures who shaped U.S. history.

Just as a reminder, the VAC; along with the county and state, will be closed tomorrow 2/12/26 for Lincoln's Birthday. We will reopen Fri 2/13/26 with our normal hours of 8-4.

We will also be closed on Monday 2/16/26 for the Federal Holiday Washingtons' Birthday (President's Day). We will open again on Tuesday 2/17/26 with our normal hours of 8-4.
