Spring Has Arrived in the Northern Hemisphere!

The Spring Equinox in 2025 happened today March 20 at 5:06 AM EST. This is the moment when the sun crosses the celestial equator, bringing nearly equal daylight and darkness across the globe. From this day forward, the Northern Hemisphere will experience longer, warmer days as we transition into spring and summer.

Meanwhile, in the Southern Hemisphere, the Autumn Equinox begins. As the Northern Hemisphere welcomes more daylight, the Southern Hemisphere starts experiencing shorter days and cooler temperatures, marking the shift into fall.

Daylight savings time. Who forgot about it?! I did and usually do until someone says something. Not being an early riser it is easier to forget. And I don't work an over night job. When I used to work overnights on Saturdays we loved this day, we got paid 8 hours to work 7. But then when we fell back in the fall we would work one extra hour but it was a guaranteed overtime hour.

I would like to stay on Standard time all year round, because with standard time we here in Utah have 0 days that are dark at 7:30 And with Daylight Savings Time there is approximately 100 days its still dark at 7:30 AM. For kids and people who have early mornings it's hard to wake when it is dark.

Plus I dislike changing my clocks that don't' change automatically. The vehicles are the worst!
