Here’s a “SNAP-shot” of what's been happening in our Central Region! Following multiple severe weather events, including a tornado that ravaged through Rome, NY, SNAP-Ed NY has been able to connect local growers to urban communities in need through existing partnerships. These connections were made possible through the cooperation of local libraries and community organizations, as well as the generosity of our local farmers! Because of them, we were able to get gleaned food into accessible locactons including several libraries, pantries, and crisis centers.

Thank you to Swistak Farm & Jervis Public Library for partnering and connecting these resources. SNAP-Ed is grateful for the opportunity to assist in providing timely and vital support to our communities!
