Join us as the official es**rt for The Wall That Heals makes its way through our community on its route to Orland High School. This powerful, traveling replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial honors those who served and sacrificed, and our community has the special opportunity to welcome it with respect and gratitude.
We invite the community to line the route, show support, wave flags, and help welcome this meaningful memorial as it arrives in Glenn County.

📣 In just 5 days, setup begins for The Wall That Heals in Orland! 🇺🇸
We are only five days away from beginning the assembly of The Wall That Heals at the Orland High School Stadium. This powerful Vietnam Veterans Memorial replica and mobile education center will soon be here for our community to experience, learn from, and honor.

This is a meaningful moment for Glenn County, and we invite everyone to be part of this historic and heartfelt week of remembrance.

The Community Action Department is pleased to announce the official launch of the Senior Nutrition Program webpage.

This comprehensive online resource is designed to make it easier for seniors, their families, and caregivers to access essential program information—including eligibility requirements, up-to-date menus, state-mandated nutritional guidelines, and details about both our home-delivery and congregate meal programs.
Visitors will also find contact information and locations for both Orland and Willows nutrition sites.
Supporting the health and well-being of our senior community is a top priority. This new webpage represents an important step toward ensuring seniors have timely, convenient access to the resources they need.
The Senior Nutrition Program webpage is available under the Community Action Department section of our official website. Additional resources and updates will be added in the coming weeks. We encourage the public to visit regularly for the latest information.

📣 The Wall That Heals is coming to Glenn County!
Join us March 26 – March 29 as we honor our Vietnam Veterans. The exhibit will close at 2:00 PM on March 29.
🕊️ Honor Your Veteran
If your Vietnam Veteran returned home and later passed away, you can include them in the In Memory Program and have their name displayed in the Mobile Education Center during the exhibit.

Glenn County is honored to welcome The Wall That Heals, a three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, to our community. This powerful tribute honors the more than 3 million Americans who served during the Vietnam War — including many from right here in Glenn County.

We invite local businesses, organizations, and individuals to become sponsors and help us bring this moving memorial to life. Your support will help us honor our veterans, educate future generations, and provide healing to those who served and their families.

🎖️ Sponsorship Levels Include:

$5,000 – Home of the Brave: Memorial bench + all lower-level gifts
$3,000 – American Bald Eagle: Framed photo from the event + all lower-level gifts

📢 Important CalFresh Update for November 📢

Due to the federal government shutdown, the U.S. Department of Agriculture is not sending funds to states for November CalFresh (SNAP) benefits.

➡️ This means your county cannot add money to your EBT card until federal funding is restored.
➡️ This affects all CalFresh households and cannot be appealed.
✅ You can still use any existing benefits on your EBT card as usual.
