Had the pleasure of visiting The Military Minute Museum in Durham, CA, recently. It is a truly remarkable tribute to the men and women—past and present—who have served our country with honor and sacrifice.
I was especially impressed by Sean Farley and his family, who have dedicated themselves to preserving not only an extensive collection of military memorabilia from every major war, but also the personal stories of the individuals who served. Sean was incredibly gracious and knowledgeable, and the depth of their collection is both impressive and deeply moving.
It was a heartfelt and inspiring experience. If you have the opportunity, I highly recommend visiting the museum—you won’t want to miss it.

🇺🇸 On National Vietnam War Veterans Day, we stand in solidarity and gratitude.

Today, March 29, the VFW honors every veteran who answered the call during the Vietnam War. You served with courage in a difficult and divisive time, facing challenges not just on the battlefield, but upon returning home. Your sacrifice helped protect freedom, and your resilience continues to inspire us all.

To our Vietnam veterans:
Thank you for your service. Welcome home. We see you, we honor you, and we will never forget what you gave for this nation.

At the VFW, our doors are always open. Whether you're sharing stories with brothers and sisters in arms, seeking fellowship, or needing support — you have a home here. Your service was honorable, your legacy endures, and your community stands with you.

Let’s all take a moment today to thank a Vietnam veteran, shake their hand, or simply say: "Welcome home."

The Orland VFW was honored to salute each panel of "The Wall That Heals" as they were carefully unloaded and carried to their resting place. It was a profoundly moving experience, one that touched everyone present.
We extend our deepest gratitude to every dedicated volunteer who has generously given their time and energy to make this possible. This meaningful tribute simply would not have happened without your unwavering commitment and support.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Attention: Changing of the Guard

After many years of dedicated service to our Veterans and their families, Lt. Dan Roach has stepped down as the POC for the Glenn Vet Honor Guard.

We express our gratitude for the 200 Military Honors and other services he has provided for our Veterans and their families since he founded the Glenn Honor Guard. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank Dan for every moment he stood with grieving families, honored our fallen heroes, and reminded us all of the profound sacrifices made for our freedom. His quiet strength and unwavering commitment have touched so many lives in our community, for which we are forever in his debt.

To carry on the torch our VFW Post 1770 Veteran Service Officer, Chris Culp will be stepping up as the Primary POC.

VFW Post 1770 Commander Kevin Triance and Quartermaster Lucas Corriea will be assisting Chris with his duties, to ensure each and every Veteran in Glenn County receives the military honors they earned in service to our great nation.

If you or a loved one ever need our our assistance for Military Honors, Color Guard, presentations or any way we can serve—please contact us at

[email protected] or by calling Chris Culp at 530-521-9582

Whether they served in war or peacetime, lost on the battlefield or long after service, each of our Veterans answered our nations call to service.
