It's that time of year again! The youth served by Friends of Children and Families are preparing to head back to school, and we are asking for your help.

Many of the children and teens in our residential programs are in need of essential school supplies to help them start the school year equipped and ready to succeed. Your generosity can make a meaningful difference in their educational journey.

We have created an Amazon Wish List with needed items. Every donation, big or small, helps provide our youth with the tools they need for a successful school year.

BID Deadline Extended:



Friends of Children and Families has extended the deadline for qualified contractors to submit sealed bids for the installation of hurricane-impact windows and/or emergency backup generators at our two residential group homes located in East Orlando and the Winter Garden area.



New Deadline: August 13, 2026 by 4 pm.



Previous Deadline: July 30, 2026 by 4 pm.



This project is funded through Orange County grant funds and is subject to all applicable federal requirements, including:

Davis-Bacon prevailing wage requirements
Section 3 provisions
Build America, Buy America Act (BABAA) compliance
