For many families, summer means longer days, but it also means the loss of school meals and added challenges at home. That’s why our community matters more than ever.

At One Heart for Women and Children, we’re committed to making sure families have access to food, resources, and hope all summer long. Every meal served, every backpack filled, every act of kindness reminds someone they are not alone.

Today, someone dropped off shoes and a wallet for families we serve. To many, they may seem like simple items. But to someone struggling, they can mean dignity, confidence, comfort, and hope.

You never know when a small act of kindness becomes exactly what someone needed.

Thank you to everyone who chooses to give, serve, and care for others. Your generosity reaches farther than you know and reminds our community that no one has to face hard times alone.

Seventeen years ago, I said yes to a dream that was much bigger than me.

I said yes to creating a nonprofit that would become a safe place where people could walk through the doors exactly as they are and be met with grace, dignity, compassion, and love.

What started as a simple desire to help others has grown into a community where fresh food is shared, resources are provided, immediate needs are met, and hope is restored every single day.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of witnessing incredible resilience, courage, and kindness. I have seen neighbors help neighbors, strangers become family, and people who once needed support return to help others find their way.

My heart is overflowing with gratitude for every volunteer, donor, supporter, staff member, and every person who has trusted us during difficult seasons of life. You are part of this story.
Seventeen years later, I am still saying yes.
Yes to serving.
Yes to loving.
Yes to showing up.
Yes to believing that everyone deserves to be seen, valued, and supported.

Thank you for allowing One Heart to be a place where food is shared, hope is restored, and community is built every day.
What a beautiful journey it has been, and I believe the best is yet to come. ❤️

✨ What an incredible day at the Central Florida Education Summit! ✨

Our hearts are full of gratitude for the opportunity to connect, learn, and share alongside so many amazing organizations dedicated to making a difference in our community.

Today, One Heart was honored to host two powerful sessions. The first, our Poverty Simulator, gave participants a firsthand look at the challenges many families face every day and sparked meaningful conversations about compassion, understanding, and action. The second featured our founder, Stephanie Bowman, sharing her inspiring journey, “From Homeless Under the Bridge to Building Bridges,” a story of resilience, hope, and the power of community.

We are so thankful to everyone who attended, engaged, asked questions, and shared their own experiences. Every conversation reminded us that lasting change happens when passionate people come together with a common purpose.
Seeing so many individuals and organizations committed to empowering others filled us with hope for the future. Thank you for welcoming us, supporting our mission, and allowing us to be part of such a special day.

We left inspired, encouraged, and excited for the new relationships and collaborations that began today. We can’t wait to continue building connections, sharing resources, and working together to strengthen our community.

💙 What an amazing day! 💙

Today, we had the privilege of spending time with our incredible partners at AdventHealth, learning more about the life-changing work being done across our community and connecting with so many passionate individuals who share a heart for serving others.

One of the greatest gifts of this journey is realizing that none of us can do it alone. When organizations, volunteers, community leaders, and caring neighbors come together, hope grows stronger, barriers begin to fall, and lives are transformed.

At One Heart for Women and Children, we are deeply grateful for partnerships that go beyond programs and services—they become family. Every conversation, every new connection, and every shared vision reminds us that together we can reach more families, fight hunger, improve health, and create brighter futures for those who need it most.
