We have been made aware of a new scam in which individuals contact family members of inmates and demand money for electronic monitoring or conditional release. These calls and messages are fraudulent.

Please remember:
• Our office will never request payment over the phone, through text, or through third parties.
• Do not send money, gift cards, or electronic payments to anyone claiming it is required for an inmate’s release or monitoring.
• Please report it to the police. If you are unsure of its authenticity, do not respond and contact our office to verify.
Your vigilance helps protect our community.

Appointed by administrative order issued by Chief Judge Lisa Munyon, Joyce will lead the Clerk’s Office during this period of transition — ensuring continuity and keeping our focus where it belongs: serving the courts, our customers, and our community.

Today, we commemorated Clerk Tiffany Moore Russell‘s twelve years of phenomenal service at the Orange County Clerk of Courts with a special ceremony unveiling a permanent tribute in her honor. The tribute is now installed in the Lydia Gardner Self-Help Center, which Clerk Russell founded and that has helped thousands of individuals obtain access to justice through legal assistance.

In a room full of Clerk Russell's colleagues, family, friends, and staff, this was a great send-off to an incredible leader and visionary.

We love the creativity of our team during Clerk Spirit Week! A annual celebration of teamwork, service, and community. Our divisions also used this opportunity to do special tributes to Clerk Tiffany Moore Russell before her final farewell. Congratulations to everyone on a job well done!

After 39 unforgettable years, Brenda will be retiring from the Clerk of Courts in September! Let us take a moment to appreciate all the hard work Brenda has contributed, and all the lives she has positively impacted during her time with us.

A message from Brenda to her clerk family: "Take it all in and learn as much as you can. You cross paths with so many different people, and each one will teach you something you can use in your everyday life. Don't blink, it goes by fast!"
