The Florida Federation of Alpha Chapters ( Florida Federation of Alpha Chapters ) of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. in partnership with and Thurgood Marshall College Fund, is bringing more than three dozen of the nation’s Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) to students and families across Orange County, Florida 🍊 and neighboring Central Florida counties.

High school seniors attending the event can connect directly with HBCUs while pursuing application fee waivers, on-the-spot admissions, scholarships, internships, career advising, prizes, and more! 🎓💼✨

💰 There’s even more on the line: more than $10,000 in scholarships will be presented to select registered students who attend, thanks to our event education partners.

The United Foundation of Central Florida’s () Future Leaders United (FLU) () After-School Enrichment & Mentoring Program is officially expanding to Bridgewater Middle School () for the 2026–2027 school year! 🎓💙💛

We recently had the opportunity to connect with Bridgewater students, families, and school leaders during Meet the Teacher, and we’re excited about what’s ahead. This expansion represents another step in our commitment to preparing young people for success through mentorship, leadership development, academic enrichment, career exploration, financial literacy, service, and more.

Happy Heavenly Birthday to our Founding Chairman & Chief Financial Officer, Dennis W. Hall. 💙

Today, we celebrate the life, legacy, and enduring impact of a man whose vision helped lay the foundation for the United Foundation of Central Florida and the Future Leaders United Program.

Mr. Hall believed that leadership was measured not by titles, but by service. He poured his heart into strengthening families, mentoring young people, and building communities where others saw barriers. As a Founding Board Member, Chairman, and CFO, his wisdom, integrity, and unwavering commitment continue to guide our mission every day.

Beyond his leadership, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, mentor, and friend. His greatest joy came from serving others and investing in the next generation, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to inspire lives for years to come.

On what would have been his 81st birthday, we honor a life well lived and a legacy that continues to echo through every family we serve, every young leader we empower, and every community we strengthen.

Our Future Leaders United students had an incredible opportunity this past April to attend the Eightville: Teach Students Money Expo, where they explored real-world financial literacy through hands-on learning and interactive experiences designed to prepare them for adulthood.

A huge thank you to for creating such an impactful event and for your unwavering commitment to equipping the next generation with the financial knowledge they need to succeed. Opportunities like these empower students to make informed decisions about budgeting, saving, investing, credit, and long-term financial independence.

At United Foundation of Central Florida, we believe that financial literacy is one of the most powerful tools we can give young people. When we invest in their financial education today, we help build stronger families, stronger communities, and a stronger future tomorrow.

Earlier this month, CEO Sandra Fatmi-Hall and CRO/First Vice President Julien Serrano-O’Neil had the privilege of joining educators, administrators, and community leaders for an important conversation on the transformative power of the Community Partnership School model at UCF’s Downtown Campus.

They shared how community-based programs like the , wraparound services, and school administrators can create meaningful, long-term impact for students, families, and neighborhoods throughout Pine Hills and Greater Orlando. Strong schools create strong communities, and when schools, nonprofits, families, and community partners work together, the possibilities are endless.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Mr. Jarvis Wheeler of Lift Orlando, formerly of the Evans Community Partnership School and Children’s Home Society of Florida, for his leadership, advocacy, and commitment to ensuring that every child and family has access to the resources they need to thrive.

It was inspiring to connect with the dedicated educators and administrators who will be serving at Community Partnership Schools across Orange County Public Schools. We look forward to continuing this important work together as we build stronger schools, stronger families, and stronger communities.

This Saturday, the United Foundation of Central Florida, Inc. (UFCF) was proud to participate in today’s Community Resource Fair hosted by the Central Florida Urban League (CFUL ). This impactful event brought together community organizations, leaders, and residents for a day focused on connection, resources, engagement, and empowerment throughout Central Florida.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Carl Battle, OAG Program Coordinator for the Central Florida Urban League and PHCC Director-At-Large, along with the entire CFUL team, for organizing such a meaningful and impactful event for our community.

UFCF was honored to connect with residents, families, and fellow organizations while sharing information about our programs and initiatives that continue transforming lives through education, mentorship, workforce development, food security, and youth empowerment.
