Today was a busy but incredibly meaningful day of remembrance, reflection, and honor.
On the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, our Honor Guard had the privilege of presenting the Colors as we remembered the lives lost, the heroes who answered the call, and the families whose lives were forever changed that morning.
We especially remember the 343 members of the FDNY who made the ultimate sacrifice. They were more than a number and more than the uniforms they wore. They were fathers and mothers, sons and daughters, husbands and wives, brothers and sisters, friends and coworkers. They had families waiting for them to come home, lives outside the firehouse, and futures that were taken from them while they courageously answered the call to help others.
Twenty-five years later, we continue to speak their names, remember their sacrifice, and honor the families who have carried their loss every day since.
Our day of service also gave us the incredible privilege of participating in the Magic Kingdom Flag Retreat, where we helped honor a United States veteran. Standing beneath our nation’s flag and recognizing someone who served to defend it was a powerful way to conclude a day centered around service, sacrifice, and remembrance.
Days like today remind us why it is such a privilege to wear this uniform and serve as members of the Honor Guard. We stand not for ourselves, but for those who served before us, those who sacrificed, the families they left behind, and the values represented by the Colors we are entrusted to carry.
25 years later, we remember.
We honor.
And we will never forget.
343. Never forgotten

Thank you to The International Union, Security, Police and Fire Professionals of America (SPFPA) for having us this morning! We were thrilled to play at their conference at the Walt Disney World Yacht and Beach Club. What a great way to start the week!
