🎨✍️ Show off your creativity during Hispanic Heritage Month!

The Florida Department of Education and Volunteer Florida are hosting student art and essay contests. This year's theme is Celebrating Florida's Hispanic Heritage.

Students in grades K-3 are invited to participate in the art contest, and students in grades 4-12 are invited to participate in the essay contest.

🏆 Educators may also be nominated for the Excellence in Education Award.

Alumna Spotlight: Rylee Erisman 🌟🏊‍♀️

FLVS Flex alumna and Windermere, Fla., native Rylee Erisman earned runner-up finishes in the 100-meter freestyle and 200-meter freestyle at the 2026 USA Swimming National Championships in Irvine, Calif.

Rylee recently reclassified to the Class of 2026 and will continue her academic and athletic career at UC Berkeley, where she will join the Golden Bears swim program.

Congratulations, Rylee, and best wishes in this next chapter! 🎉

🎉 Congratulations to recent FLVS graduates Carmen Amar and Alvin Luu, who were selected to join nearly 400 first-time voters from across the United States and U.S. territories for NextGen Roundtable: Decision 2026 in Washington, D.C. 🇺🇸

✨ New this year: two creative clubs are joining the FLVS lineup!

Elementary students can now explore their interests through Scribble Squad, a writing club for grades K-5, and Music Makers, a music club for grades 3-5. 🎵✏️

These new opportunities join more than 80 FLVS clubs and activities available to students statewide. Families can learn more about the new clubs, meet sponsors and student leaders, and explore extracurricular options during this year's Club Rush events. 💻📚
