Changemakers took a trip to Sipson Island in Pleasant Bay to test their newly developed native species guide for the island, using student art and plant descriptions. They were able to find seven species! Thank you to our lifeguard, Mr. E., and to our guest science teacher, Mr. Paul Niles. Thank you also to Friends of Pleasant Bay and Sipson Island Trust for supporting our trip and this project.

As part of learning about characteristics of healthy relationships, and identifying signs of abuse in relationships, Ms. Flanagan's and Mrs. Kelly's Health classes welcomed counselors from Independence House to their classrooms this week to share their expertise and resources. Students participated in engaging and respectful conversations about friendships, dating relationships, support systems and the importance of boundaries and clear communication to keep us safe and well.
