Anyone recognize this little nugget? Some nice people brought her to us after she was located at the Farmers Market on Old Colony Way. She is currently at the station while our officers deal with a few other calls but will likely make the trip to the ARL shortly if her owners aren't located. It's been just over one week since our incredible OPD Block Party. The Orleans Police Department would like to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who helped make our Block Party such a tremendous success!

From our incredible volunteers and generous sponsors to all of the attendees, local businesses, town departments, first responders, and community members who came out to celebrate with us — we could not have done it without you!

We are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support and turnout, and we hope everyone had as much fun as we did! 🚔🍦🎶.

Orleans is known for its beautiful beaches and areas of conservation; these are some of our greatest attractions and also greatest habitats for wildlife. As we move into Fall we tend to respond to more calls regarding Coyote sightings. Never approach a Coyote or wild animal. If you are concerned about the Coyote’s behavior or health, please call our non-emergency number 508-255-0117. For more information visit Mass.gov.

What an incredible night at the Orleans Police Block Party! We want to take a moment to sincerely thank everyone who helped make last night such a tremendous success.

To all of our amazing volunteers, generous sponsors, attendees, first responders, local businesses, and community members — THANK YOU! Your time, support, generosity, and enthusiasm made this event truly special.

We are especially grateful for the incredible donations made by so many individuals and businesses. Your generosity helped make it possible for us to bring our community together for a fun and memorable evening.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who came out, enjoyed the evening, met our officers and first responders, and helped create such a positive community atmosphere. We are incredibly fortunate to have such a supportive community here in Orleans!

Town authorities will conduct a controlled detonation at the Orleans Transfer Station between now and 12:00 PM
today as part of a planned disposal procedure.

Residents and visitors may hear a loud noise during this window. This is expected and is being managed by Orleans Fire-Rescue, Orleans Police, and other public safety partners. There is no cause for concern and no action is needed from residents.
