It's CPR and AED Awareness Week! We are highlighting our Community Educators who work together with our crews to educate our community on the use of CPR and AED (Automated External Defibrillators).

Did you know that about 70% of non-hospital cardiac arrests happen in homes? If you are called on to give CPR in an emergency, you will most likely be saving a life.

Building Safety Month is a reminder that fire and life safety begin with prevention.

Our Fire Prevention team works year-round with builders, businesses, and community members to help ensure buildings are designed, maintained, and operated with safety in mind. Their work helps protect both firefighters and the people who live, work, and gather in our community.

Station 375 C Shift crews were recognized by Northwest Medical Center for their outstanding clinical care and notifications that helped care for a patient suffering from a STEMI, a severe heart attack caused by a blocked artery.

Our strong partnerships with hospital teams help ensure patients receive life-saving care seamlessly from the field to the ER.

Just before school got out for the summer, our Station 379 got a couple of excited visitors who took a quick station tour and then got to ride in the engine to their last day of school! As part of a local Phones Down, Just Drive campaign, this was a fun opportunity for not only these two kids, but also for the crew.

A - Adult Supervision: always have a responsible adult watching when children are near water
B - Barriers: use fences and locks to prevent unsupervised access to the pool
C - Classes: children and adults should learn how to swim and understand water safety skills
