Last night's city council decision regarding District A vacancy, City Council has decided in accordance with state law, to appoint a council member to represent the district to finish the 2026 term left by Councilwoman Johnstone vacating the seat. The plan is a one week application period for interested and qualified parties and then a week of interviews and discussion by the other 6 council members who will then appoint one of the applicants to the seat hopefully at the September 15th meeting. The applications are restricted to bar myself and my opponent, as to not tip the scales in one or the others favor in the upcoming Nov. 3 election

Vote for the candidate who pledges to be accountable and accessible to the people of the District A, who has the integrity to stand for what's right and best for the people of DIstrict A, and has a desire to get government out of the way and let business' flourish bringing prosperity to the people of District A!

The Transparency and Accountability ordinance is back on the table tonight, as is discussing the filling of the vacancy by our District A Councilmember Johnstone resigning from her seat this month.

Had a great time meeting with community business and development leaders hearing from builders in our town about subdivisions both planned for and currently happening, providing market rate housing as incentive to bring both new business investments and the population to support them. All great things for the prosperity of District A residents
