Welcome, Principal Stanley!

It is our absolute privilege to officially introduce the new Principal of Oakdale Heights Elementary School—someone who is already a deeply cherished member of our school family: Brianne Stanley! 🎓✨

Brianne’s history with Oakdale Heights runs incredibly deep. Her journey with the Oroville City Elementary School District actually began right here at Oakdale back in 2006 as a student teacher! Since then, she has dedicated 15 wonderful years to OCESD, spending the vast majority of her time teaching fourth and fifth grade right here on our campus. 📚🍎

Her educational roots are local and strong. She earned her Multi-Subject Credential from CSU Chico and is currently completing her Administrative Credential to step into this new leadership role.

When she isn’t dedicating her time to our students and staff, Brianne loves spending time outdoors with her husband and their two wonderful daughters —especially going camping and hitting the trails for off-road adventures! 🏕️🛞

We are growing, and we have some exciting news: Oakdale Heights Elementary is on the absolute verge of adding another teacher for our 3rd and 4th grades!

To make this happen, we just need a few more upper-elementary students to join our school family. If you have a child entering 3rd or 4th grade—or know a family who does—now is the perfect time to enroll!

First Day of School Beautification Day!

Time: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

The first day of school is just around the corner on August 10! To ensure our students return to beautiful, welcoming campuses, CSEA Chapter 618 and the Oroville City Elementary School District are hosting a volunteer Beautification Day.

We are inviting all Oroville community members to come lend a hand for just a few hours. Your hard work will make a massive difference—plus, lunch is on us! Come pitch in and support our local schools.

A Gift for the Future: OCESD’s America’s 250th Time Capsule!

Last Wednesday, July 1st, the OCESD community came together to celebrate a massive milestone—America’s 250th anniversary! But we didn't just look back at history; we decided to make some history of our own.

To honor Semiquincentennial, our incredible students, teachers, and staff put together a special OCESD Time Capsule! 📦✨ Inside, we’ve packed letters, school memories, photos, and artifacts that capture what life is like in our district right now in 2026.

The catch? It stays sealed for the next 50 years! 🔒

This capsule will remain safely tucked away until the United States celebrates its 300th anniversary in 2076. Imagine what the world will look like when the students of the future finally crack it open! 🚀

Thank you to everyone who contributed a piece of today for the generations of tomorrow. We are so proud of our history, our present, and our future here at OCESD!

🌱☀️ Farm to Summer Celebration Week at Oakdale Heights School! ☀️🌱
Last week, students at Oakdale Heights School had an exciting week of hands-on
learning and farm-fresh fun during our Farm to Summer Celebration Week!
Students explored the wonders of gardening through educational activities focused
on:
🐌 Identifying common garden pests and learning their role in the garden ecosystem
🪴 Planting companion plants that help support and protect each other
🌱 Discovering the importance of healthy soil and how seedlings grow
🌷Participating in a garden scavenger hunt to explore and observe the garden up
close
🐮Meeting friendly animals at a petting zoo hosted by a local farmer
🍓Each day also featured delicious taste tests of fresh, locally grown fruit from area
farms, giving students the opportunity to learn about and enjoy seasonal produce
grown right in our community.
👨‍🌾Thank you to our local farmers and partners who helped make this week such a
memorable experience for our students!
