🚑💙 EMS Week May 17-23, 2026 💙🚑

This week, the City of Orr proudly recognizes and thanks the dedicated members of the Orr Ambulance Service during EMS Week.

Day and night, our EMS team answers the call. They provide emergency care, compassion, reassurance, and lifesaving service to our residents and visitors alike. Whether responding to accidents, medical emergencies, fires, or community needs, these professionals stand ready at a moment’s notice.

Our ambulance crew understands neighbors helping neighbors means everything. They exemplify that spirit every single day.

“You are our heroes.” – Cabin O’ Pines

Moments like this are an important reminder of how lucky the Orr area is to have volunteer fire and ambulance services available when our community needs them most. Their dedication, training, sacrifice, and willingness to answer the call at all hours help protect our residents, visitors, businesses, homes, and families.

The City of Orr would like to extend our deepest gratitude and appreciation to the Orr Volunteer Fire Department and Orr Ambulance Service for their quick response, professionalism, and unwavering commitment during the wildfire threat near Nett Lake Road.

We are also incredibly thankful to all agencies, dispatchers, pilots, firefighters, medics, and neighboring departments who worked together to protect lives, homes, businesses, and our beautiful Northwoods communities.

Thank you all for protecting our community and reminding us what true teamwork and service look like. ❤️

NEW SUMMER HOURS at CITY HALL & TOURIST INFORMATION CENTER

Starting Monday, May 18, Orr City Hall and Tourist Information will begin summer hours to better serve residents and visitors.

Open: Monday–Friday
Tourist Information Center: Open at 8:00 AM
City Hall: Open at 9:00 AM
Both offices closed 11:30 AM–12:30 PM
Closing time: 4:00 PM

Beginning June 6, we expect to remain open through the lunch hour.

We’d like to thank our residents for their patience and understanding during recent staff changes and the growing pains that come with transitions. Your support and kindness are truly appreciated as we continue working to serve our community as efficiently and professionally as possible.

We also encourage everyone to support local businesses whenever possible. Every coffee, meal, tank of gas, and small purchase helps keep our community strong year-round. ❤️
