At OSD, we are connecting with, empowering and inspiring our students! The Facebook and Instagram accounts are administered by staff at Orting School District. Today, our Senior Spotlight highlights Brooklyn Peavler! 📣

❓What are your future plans?
🌟I want to do online college and get my bachelor's, and then go for two more years and get my master's and become a teacher. I want to teach first through fourth grade, but I am not sure yet.

❓What activities were you involved in while in high school?
🌟I did cheer and volleyball.

❓What has been the highlight of your time in the Orting School District?
🌟Being able to do Running Start.

❓What teacher or staff member made an impact on you? Why?
🌟Jennifer Worley. Orting High School. She made an impact on me because she was always supportive, encouraging, and someone I could count on. She made school feel more positive and helped me grow as a person.

❓What advice do you have for younger students?
🌟Don’t stress so much about fitting in. The people meant for you will find you naturally. And don’t waste time caring about drama, that won’t matter in a year.

Today, our Senior Spotlight highlights Haven Uhl! 📣

❓What are your future plans?
🌟I will continue my photography business and plan on going to esthetician school in the fall!

❓What activities were you involved in while in high school?
🌟I have been involved in the National Honor Society, bowling, and Club America as vice president!

❓What has been the highlight of your time in the Orting School District?
🌟Getting to meet new people and making new friends!

❓What teacher or staff member made an impact on you? Why?
🌟My kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Laremore! She made such a big impact, and even 12 years later, I still remember how fun it was to show up to school and to be encouraged to step out of my comfort zone!

❓What advice do you have for younger students?
🌟Don't be afraid to make yourself uncomfortable by stepping away from what is familiar to you or trying something new. Personal growth doesn't happen when you're comfortable.

Today, our Senior Spotlight highlights Penny DeBlume-Berger! 📣

❓What are your future plans?
🌟Going to Pierce College for 2 years for psychology, then transferring to UW Seattle and becoming a South Sound 911 Operator.

❓What activities were you involved in while in high school?
🌟Choir, cross country, and criminal justice.

❓What has been the highlight of your time in the Orting School District?
🌟Field days were my favorite.

❓What teacher or staff member made an impact on you? Why?
🌟Mrs. Flipowicz has made a huge impact on my life. She's one of my favorite staff members at the school. She's one of the most realistic teachers to give you honest opinions and tell you the truth, and doesn't sugarcoat it. And I appreciate it

❓What advice do you have for younger students?
🌟I highly recommend applying for Skill Center, and as many clubs or sports as you can do.

On Thursday, June 11, 216 members of the Orting High School Class of 2026 crossed the stage and officially became graduates. ❤️🖤🎓

While their journeys are taking them in many different directions—from colleges and universities to the military, apprenticeships, the workforce, missions, and beyond—they will always have a home in the Orting School District.

Thank you to our staff who dedicated countless hours to making graduation a memorable celebration, and thank you to the families, friends, and community members who encouraged, supported, and believed in these students throughout their journey.

Congratulations, Class of 2026. The Cardinals have flown the nest, and we can't wait to see where their wings take them next.
