THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS EXTENDED THE WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY, IT IS NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM THIS MORNING...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS NOW ISSUED ANOTHER WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY.
THE FIRST ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 PM THIS AFTERNOON.
THe SECOND WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO 3 AM WEDNESDAY.
* WHAT...For the first Winter Weather Advisory, freezing rain. Additional ice accumulations around a light glaze.
For the second Winter Weather Advisory, snow and patchy blowing snow expected. Total snow accumulations up to one inch. Winds gusting as high as 55 mph.
* WHERE...Big Stone and Traverse Counties.
* WHEN...For the first Winter Weather Advisory, until 3 PM this afternoon. For the second Winter Weather Advisory, from 6 PM this evening to 3 AM Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The combination of
falling snow and winds will lead to periods of blowing snow that may briefly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday evening commute. Strong winds could cause tree damage.
