Happy National Doughnut Day 🍩

There’s no better way to start the day than supporting a local spot.

Osage Beach is home to some great bakeries and coffee shops that keep our mornings running. Today is a good excuse to stop in, grab a dozen, and support local.

🚓 As Memorial Day weekend brings more visitors to Osage Beach, we are preparing for increased calls for service, traffic volume, and activity throughout the community.

Our officers will be actively working to manage congestion, respond to incidents, and help keep both residents and visitors safe during one of the busiest weekends of the year. With more people out enjoying the Lake, visibility and response demands increase, making awareness and cooperation from the public especially important.

Simple choices like planning ahead, driving sober, and staying aware of your surroundings help make a big difference. 🙌

💬 What safety tip do you think is most important during a busy holiday weekend?

This week, we recognize the men and women of Emergency Medical Services who answer the call—day or night, rain or shine, in moments that matter most.
EMS professionals are more than first responders. They are caregivers, problem-solvers, calm voices in chaos, and advocates for their communities. From lifesaving interventions to holding a patient’s hand during difficult moments, their impact reaches far beyond the ambulance doors.
To our EMS crews: thank you for the long hours, missed holidays, sleepless nights, and unwavering commitment to serving others.
And thank you to every EMT, paramedic, dispatcher, educator, firefighter, nurse, physician, and support staff member who helps make emergency care possible. Your dedication, compassion, and sacrifice do not go unnoticed.
Happy EMS Week! 💙❤️

During Public Works week, we just want to take a second and acknowledge the hard work this department puts in every day.

From maintaining the streets, clearing sewer lines, and changing water lines, they are the team that keeps our infrastructure together. They work all hours to answer calls year-round and keep our streets clear in the winter. They've been tasked with a lot this year as we strive to improve our systems!

Thank you Public Works!
